Gabrielle and Ares meet each other in XWP's season 1 episode Ties That Bind. In this episode Ares tries to win Xena back to his side by playing Xena's father. From Ares' view, Gabrielle is the irritating Blonde who blocks his road towards Xena. From Gabrielle's view, Ares is the God who constantly wants to bring back Xena's dark side.
Ares tries to influence Gabrielle in the episodes 'Forget me Not', 'Succession' and 'Seeds of Faith' to gain her for his side.
